Join us for a fall Holiday Maker Class, and make your homemade holiday gifts this year! These 6-week courses will be held on Mondays starting @ 5:30-8:30 pm on 10/27/24-11/24/25 (full) and @ 9:00 am – Noon on 11/03/25-12/01/25
This 6-week course, taught by Courtney Kaczorowski, will focus on both hand-building and wheel-thrown ceramics. Our classes are geared towards small class sizes with individualized instruction. This 6-week course will focus on hand-building and wheel-thrown ceramics. Week 5 will be dedicated to glazing, and we’ll celebrate the final kiln unload together in mid-December (exact date TBD). Registration for Fall Pottery Classes

Fired Earth Pottery classes are geared towards small class sizes with individualized instruction. Absolute beginners and experienced potters are all welcome. This 8-week course will be an introduction to hand-building and wheel-thrown ceramics. The class will cover the basics of the pottery process for beginners and allow for the assistance of those with experience. In week 7 you will glaze all of your work and in week 8 you will pick up your finished pieces.

General description of the class:
In this general course for adults, you will learn hand-building techniques, how to use the potter’s wheel, and glazing techniques. Beginners and more advanced students are welcome; the classes are tailored toward individual instruction. The courses are taught by Courtney Kaczorowski and Angie Bougie at Fired Earth Pottery.
Open Studio is held from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on three Saturdays. It’s a time for you to work independently and continue developing your skills at your own pace. An instructor or experienced renter will be on-site and available to answer any questions you may have.
COST: $250.00 per 8-week session. This cost includes 1 bag of clay, instruction, glazes, and firing.
WHAT TO BRING: Items you will want to bring to class include a hand towel, a small 1-gallon pail, and a small set of pottery tools ( including a needle tool, cut-off wire, wood rib, metal rib, sponge, and a trimming tool). These are available at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Jack Richeson, on-line, etc for $10.00 or less. If you have other clay working tools, feel free to bring those as well. Make sure your name is on them. Remember to wear clothes suitable for working with clay, and to leave all jewelry (rings, watches, bracelets, etc.) at home.
