Everything you always wanted to know about making pottery!!

In this general course for adults, you will learn handbuilding techniques, how to use the potter's wheel, glazing techniques, and the basics of high temperature firing. The course sometimes includes a slide show of great regional pottery. Beginners and more advanced students are welcome; the classes are tailored towards individual instruction. The course is taught by Rick McKinney (Wednesday and Thursday evenings) and Angie Bougie (Tuesday evenings and Wednesday mornings) at Fired Earth Pottery. Rick is a professional potter here in Appleton, and Angie is the Ceramics teacher at the NW Technical College Artisan Center. Please feel free to visit the studio on Saturday afternoons from 1 to 5pm (please call ahead if you are thinking of coming for a visit).
